First Aid, together with Fishing and Cooking belongs to secondary professions in World of Warcraft. First Aid was never really popular because it is not fun to level or profitable. Especially the better players always level up this profession because they know that every bit towards maximizing your character counts.
First Aid is a must for any dps class that can’t heal, for example Rogue, Hunter, Mage, Warlock, Warrior and Death Knight class and even some of the healing classes also have it skilled. What is great about it is that you are able to use your First Aid skill even in PVP. Click here for more on First Aid Guide WoW
What is First Aid all about?
With your First Aid skill you will be using bandages in order to heal yourself or remove a poison effect. This skill is to be used when you get damaged by an enemy player or npc. The bandages that you can create can come in very handy in both PvE as PvP situations.
How do I use bandages?
You can create bandages and these can be found in your inventory. Target yourself or another player you wish to heal and click on a bandage. Make sure that the person you have targeted is not moving too much because if the player moves out of the rather small bandage range the bandaging will be stopped. Once bandaged a player will receive a debuff cannot receive a bandage from someone else or bandage himself for 60 seconds. The debuff you can see is called “Recently Bandaged”. Once the debuff disappears you can bandage yourself again. For the best leveling guide click here: WoW Ultimate Guide
The needed materials
FA uses all sorts of cloth. During your time in the game you will come across different kinds of cloth. You can make bandages from any type of cloth if your skill level is adequate. You should know that only Humanoids drop cloth but since you will come across many of them you will have no problem to level up your First Aid. However, if you are already level 80 and somehow missed leveling this skill you will have two choices - buying the cloth on the Auction House or grinding it. If you want to save some gold and grind the cloth you should aim for Humanoid NPCs.
Where to begin?
You should start by visiting any of the First Aid trainers in the major cities. The first trainer you need to seek could be found in the starting zones for each race. There are no requirements on training the First Aid profession, just the starting fee which is 10 copper. Linen is the first cloth you will come across and with it you will be able to progress 75 skill level. From there on you can use different types of cloth to skill up even more. The First Aid trainers later on could be found in any capital city. If you do not know which trainer to visit, one of the others can direct you towards the right trainer.
Is there any First Aid quest available?
Yes, there’s one First Aid quest. The quest Triage should be completed if you want to be an Apprentice in First Aid. The objective of this quest is to save fifteen patients before some die with the use of special Triage Bandages. Alliance can pick up this quest in Theramore, while Hordies can pick it up in Hammerfall. If you would like more on WoW Leveling, click here: WoW Leveling Guide
