World of Warcraft Enchanting Guide

In WoW, enchanting is one of the primary profession, and is in fact one of the easiest and can be one of the most profitable. We’ll take a look at what enchanting is, the various profession levels and the levels your character need to be at in the following WoW Enchanting Guide.

Enchanting is simply being able to either give magic to an item or take it away from an item. The magic that you take from something is stored as either dust or essence. As you can imagine, other players may need you services to enchant something, this in turn can be very profitable.

WoW Enchanting Guide – Levels

If you already have a level 5 character, which is required, then all you need to do is find a trainer. These trainers can be found in large cities. Ask a guard for a trainer if you can’t find one yourself. Trainers can be found in Stormwind and Silvermoon among other places. Apprentice: Character Level 5; Skill Levels 1-75
Journeyman: Character Level 10; Skill Levels 50-150
Expert: Character Level 20; Skill Levels 125-225
Artisan: Character Level 35; Skill Levels 200-300
Master: Character Level 50; Skill Levels 300-375

As I mentioned, the enchanting profession itself is pretty easy, but leveling can be a little challenging. Its beyond the scope of this WoW Enchanting guide to go into the details of leveling.

However, one quick thing I want to mention is that leveling can be expensive, so when you choose this profession just be sure it’s right for you. Just to give you some idea of this it can take up to 500 gold to level enchanting to level 300 and 5000 gold to level all the way to 375. With the release of the Wrath of the Lich King the levels go up to 450. Each level becomes progressively more difficult and expensive.
