Warrior – A Tank & Melee Dps

In the World of Warcraft Warriors are considered to be well-known for their tanking and dps abilities. A Warrior is always welcome in any arena or PvP team, raid group or 5-man instance because of his good performance and ability to both tank and dps when needed. Warriors became even more popular and fun to play when the dual spec became available.

If you choose to be a Warrior tank after a while you can get bored, even though playing a tank is quite fun, still not being able to change can get to you. With a setup like this you will be able to gather gear for both your tanking build and damage or PvP build. With a dual spec you can easily gear up since you can change your build when needed, like for example switch to tank when a tank is needed or switch to a melee dps if a dps is needed or if you just want to grind or PvP a bit. It must be said that the Protection Warriors are favored by many because tanks can be rare on some servers.

The Protection talent tree, like said before, should be followed by players that want to turn their Warrior in a capable tank. The talents that can be chosen in the Protection talent tree will make the Warrior a tough cookie. The Protection tree will enable you to increase your tank’s armor, stamina, shield abilities, threat, etc. which all will contribute in making you more capable while tanking in any raid or dungeon.

If you want to build up your char as a melee dps there are two other talent builds to take into consideration – Arms talent build and Fury talent build. Arms talent build is mostly preferred by the PvP players since it has many good PvP talents and a few very useful attacks, for example Mortal Strike, which will decrease the healing done on a target affected by it. If you prefer PvE more than PvP and you want to dps with your Warrior, Fury talent tree will need your attention. Some players claim that an Arms Warrior is also better in PvE when compared to a Fury Warrior. However, you will need to try it out yourself in order to get the clear picture which talent build is better for you. The Fury talent build will offer you a couple of useful attack abilities and not to mention that you can also equip Two-Handed Weapons that look terrific!

Through the history and in any mmorpg, Warriors have played an important role while fighting battles. The Warrior class in the World of Warcraft is the only class which can equip all the weapons. When it comes to armor, a Warrior wears plate and when combined with a good use of his shield he will definitely become a strong tank while if he chooses to use two-handers he will be able to achieve massive damage.
