Warlock – A Class for Everyone to Fear — Games & Entertainment Blog

The Warlock class is great to play. This class belongs to the dark side and therefore their spells are based on the shadow magic and fire magic. They possess the powers of ‘the dark’ and therefore they are interested in demonology. Because of this they are able to summon demons like imps, succubus, fel hounds, void walkers and infernals. Locks are one of the two classes that can use pets and similar to the Hunter class, Locks too can have a pet by their side at most of the times if their build allows them.

Having a pet at your side makes the game a lot easier especially because you can usually avoid taking many hits. The Warlock class deals great damage with a few of the most popular offensive spells like, for example, shadow bolt. A Warlock however is very well known for ability to fear his enemies which make them run around like chicken without heads. Because of this spell combo, a Warlock who plays his class well is a dangerous opponent in PvP and is a top damage dealer in any PvE instance or raid group. In PvP a Warlock can fear his opponents while applying dots on his target an in PvE he can spam Shadow Bolts and other great spells.

The Warlock has a large variety of spells and skills. One of the most frequently used skills is to summon a Dark Portal. This portal is used to summon players located anywhere on the map to the location of a Warlock. He will need a hand to summon a player. This Dark Portal can be used similar like you would use the meeting stone in front of an instance.

A Warlock can also apply a Soul Stone on himself or others. If he or any other player has a Soul Stone applied he will be able to resurrect if he dies, right on the spot. This can greatly reduce the corps running time even though it has a cool down of half an hour. Soul Stone will come in handy to any Lock while he is leveling and also it is a “wipe savior” in any raid or dungeon group if placed on a player who can heal or resurrect. Warlocks are also known for their ability to produce Health Stones which are used similar as the healing potions but they restore even more health. At the beginning, a Warlock can give the Health Stones to other players separately and on the higher levels he will be able to create a Soul Well where all the members of his raid or group can click to obtain one Health Stone. In a fight that is longer, Health Stones come in as really handy since they don’t share the same cooldown as the health potions.

The class of Warlocks is great to level up and play. With their damage dealing abilities, demon pets, fears, DoTs and spells which are helpful to the group, they are surely complex characters to play and tuff enemies to fight against. If you like to play with casting classes and want an easy time leveling up, the Warlock class is a great one to chose!
