Need For Speed Shift is worth a go

After just getting in after returning the rental copy of Shift I have to say I might have to go out again to buy it. Some of the last additions of the game have really not been very good at all. The last couple of Need For Speed games have been very poor indeed and shift is nice way of starting the series from scratch.

The creators have actually scrapped all previous ideas for the titles and made the game into a proper, realistic racing experience which has actually got a chance to complete with the upcoming 360 exclusive, Forza 3.

The playability of the game really is quite brilliant with many hours having to be spent finishing all of the races, tuning the cars to suit your needs and playing it on the various difficulties. You are likely to also spend a lot of time on the online modes.

This game isn’t about used cars but more about the custom made models from the likes of BMW, Toyota and every other car maker you can think of.

In terms of playing for fun , Need For Speed did seem a lot better than Forza but then again I have only managed to play the Forza demo. Forza still seems to have the best graphics a car game can offer along with a larger selection of cars to choose from.

This year EA have actually put all of their focus into the driver, although the cars still look brilliant. EA has made it so that if you crash or bump into someone you feel like the driver in that the screen will go blurry, high speeds are also shown in this way.

It is really up to you on the decision to take when it comes to buying these games, you could do what a lot of people are doing and buy them both!
