Mage Class Guide

You may find in WoW, that your play style favors either magic or combat. If you’re a player who prefers magic over weapons then let me introduce to you in this WoW Mage Guide the Mage class.

As a spell caster Mage are fantastic. Their talents at using fire, frost and the arcane are unmatched in Warcraft. What stength they have with their magic, Mages lack when in comes to combat and melee. In fact rather than being well armed and armored, they only have cloth armor and their weapons are limited to wands, staves, daggers and swords. But they have an arsenal of spells that allow Mages to destroy their enemies from a safe distance. Mages can use magic to help their allies by creating food and drink for them and they can also travel to other locations instantly through portals. Mages can belong to the following races: Human, Gnome, Undead, Troll, Blood Elves and Draenei. In following part of the WoW Mage guide I’ll tell you about some of their strengths and weaknesses.

Mage Strengths:

One of the major strengths of Mages is that they can use spells to inflict major damage to single and even multiple targets. But, if it’s a losing battle, Mages have two more tricks up their sleeve. Firstly, they can hold off enemies with magic and secondly they’re masters of escape with their Frost Nova, Blink and Ice Armor spells.

Another strength is that they can avoid taking damage by launching attacks from long range. They can travel to other places in the world using portal and transport other players also.

Mage Weaknesses:

The Mages lack of armor is the source of one major weakness of this class, making it difficult for them to survive much damage. Melee is a huge weakness for Mages so if you intend to do much of this choose another class. Last but not least, for all their magical strengths they don’t have any real healing ability.

Cool Mage Spells:

As a conclusion to the WoW Mage guide I’ll mention some cool spells. Some of these can make up a little for some of their weaknesses.

Mirror Image- This spell makes multiple versions of you appear that can then be used in battle.
Invisibility- This one allows you to become invisible for a short distance.
Water Elemental- Mages can summon a Water Elemental to fight in battle.
Ice Block & Ice Barrier- This can make up a little for the lack of armor because it allows them to absorb some damage during battle.
