Latest Need For Speed Undercover Review

The latest ‘Need For Speed: Undercover’ game has got some poor reviews so far, but I don’t see the problem with the game.

I got the game a few days ago and haven’t stopped playing it, it’s great! With the great ‘Most Wanted’ title and then the downhill slide that was the ‘ProStreet’ title, the Need For Speed range needed a lift. And I believe that this latest ‘Need For Speed’ game is that lift.

The game throws you into the action rather suddenly, the opening movie chase scene cuts you into the action part way through, so make sure you’re not drinking like I was.

Overall, the game is alot like ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’ with many high speed cop chases and the action packed street races.

However, the things that make this new title better the the previous ‘Most Wanted’ is the awesome graphics and new range of cars. With a new range of cars including the Mclaren F1, Pagani Zonda F and the amazing Bugatti Veyron, you can race around the streets at high speeds.

Although the graphics and storling to the game are great, there are a couple of downsides to the game. Firstly, the AI not great, within every race there are some fast drivers that aim for the win and wille stop at nothing to beat you, and then there are the annoying slow ones that all they try and do is hold you up or take you out by pushing you into a wall. Most of the time when you restart a race, it will be caused by the AI, which will be followed by some cursing.

Even though the game has some downsides, the general gameplay of it is brilliant, the game seems to be a mix of ‘Need For Speed: Most Wanted’ and ‘Burnout Paradise’, and both of those games were great driving games. The only thing I can advise is that when EA come to make their next ‘Need For Speed’ title, they spend some extra time on the AI. Overall I would give the game an 8.5/10
