In Farmville there are two basic kinds of animals: Livestock (which you can purchase at the Market for coins or Farmville cash) and Lost Animals (which will show up on your farm occasionally). Animal crops don’t rot like plant crops which is just one advantage of animals. Animals will patiently wait for you to log in once more and harvest it. They are relatively effortless to manage. Hence it is a trouble-free means of getting money.
Livestock
Your livestock choices at the Market are pretty limited at the moment. Currently there are dairy cows, pigs, and white (regular) sheep. Pigs, dairy cows and the regular white sheep are the only animals which may be purchased at the Market. Sometimes new animals appear for a certain time. During the “Alien Invasion”, green cows named BOV1NE-09 (now named Alien Cow) appeared in the Market for 2400 coins. “Milktonium,” a crop that can be harvested from green cows can be sold for 18 coins. The “Baby Turkey” was released during the American Thanksgiving. It changes into a mature Turkey when harvested for the first time. The feathers which can be harvested once every 2 days from grown Turkey can be put up for sale at 80 coins per harvest. Your friends can give you more interesting livestock as free gifts plus the regulars are available there too.
Be aware that the harvest times are not the same for every animal. A number of animals may be harvested once a day, others need 3 or even 4 days to “ripen”.
Lost Animals
Farmville has an exciting feature which requires you to keep an eye on Facebook status updates to see whether your friends have stumbled upon any “lost animals”. These lost animals will occasionally show up on your farm and request your help. For instance, to celebrate American Thanksgiving, the makers of Farmville introduced a new “lost animal”– the Wild Turkey.
The Wild Turkey will appear on your farm with the following caption:
(Your name) discovered this frightened bird in Farmville. This time of year is tough for her and her kind. Hopefully she can find comfort and safety on a friendly farm. ..
Here is a list of some of the other “lost animals” in Farmville:
*Ugly Duckling (becomes a swan)
*Brown Cow (gives chocolate milk)
*Pink Cow (makes strawberry milk )
*Black Cat (produces yarn)
*Turtle (makes eggs)
*Black Sheep (produces chocolate wool)
*Regular cows may appear on your farm as a lost animal. They are available through the Market and can be sent as a free item by your friends too.
You are not allowed to adopt the lost animals. You can post a status update on your Facebook that you have stumbled upon a lost animal. This is the ideal moment to utilize your other (if you have another one) Facebook account!
Log out and afterwards put your animal up for adoption. Log in on your other account and quickly adopt the lost animal before someone else does! So bear in mind what I said before, constantly look at your friends’ status updates so that you can adopt their lost animals.
Think about buying a Dairy Barn or a Chicken Coop if you’re gathering a lot of cows and/or chickens.
Each building has space for 20 cows or chickens and offers a convenient means to store them, as well as harvesting them all at once.
You can acquire a Mystery Egg when you purchase a Chicken Coop. Check out Farmville Buildings to know more.
